I had the pleasure of reading MERCENARY'S KISS for an early review. Wow! The story takes off in the first chapter and just flies. It is very fast paced and an excellent read. I am always amazed that no two "Pam" books are alike, or like any others, for that matter. The storylines are always fresh and her heroes, ALWAYS delicious. *g* Carve out some time for this one, you won't be able to put it down.

Hi!

Whew! Can you believe how fast the summer is going? June fled by, and now it's July. One more month, and my debut western historical from Harlequin Historicals, THE MERCENARY'S KISS, will be on the shelves! Yay!

On June 13th, I had the pleasure of giving the program for my sister chapter, Prairieland Romance Writers. It's always great fun to see my old friends in Grand Island. The afternoon sped by!

We're heading to Santa Fe in a couple of weeks for my youngest sister's wedding. Should be a great time! We plan to do some hiking and white water rafting-something none of us have done before.

One week at home, then I'm heading to the big Romance Writers of America National Conference in Dallas. There, I'll get to meet my editor and my agent and soak up all those writing vibes, bring home lots of free books and the latest in market news.

September will bring Katie's wedding. She already has her dress hanging in Grandma's closet, but we're on the hunt for some special beading to sew on the hem. Her sisters are conspiring on a bridal shower, and her Aunt Kim is planning ahead for some gorgeous decorated cookies for each guest. Katie has hired a special choir of Latin Cantors for her wedding Mass and there's talk of booking a Mariachi band for the rehearsal dinner. My head is spinning with two major family weddings in a three month spread (and I didn't even mention my niece who's getting married two weeks before Katie!)

FEATURED RECIPE

Here's a recipe I make for my family all the time. In fact, it's on the menu for tomorrow night. Quick, easy and tasty!

CHICKEN QUESADILLAS

1 large can drained chunk chicken breast in water
1 can drained Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies
8 oz. Sargento shredded Four Cheese Mexican 8 inch tortillas

Drain and flake chicken. Add tomatoes and cheese. Blend.

In large skillet over medium low heat, place one tortilla and ½ cup of chicken blend. Spread mix over tortilla and cover with second tortilla. Heat until cheese is melted, turning once.
